Why Belted Galloways?
Belted Galloways (affectionately known as “Belties”) are one of the oldest cattle breeds in the entire world. They thrive on large, wide open pastures, handle cold weather easily, and produce lean, well-marbled beef that’s rich in flavor. The breed’s natural hardiness means the cattle at Sunflower Valley Farm live the way they were meant to, and aren’t locked away in a factory farm.

Our cattle graze the open pastures of Sunflower Valley Farm under the daily watch of Dr. Calvin Clements, a retired veterinarian with more than 20 years of experience caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. Our herd’s health, nutrition, and general welfare are managed with professional knowledge and a personal touch you won’t find on a large operation.
